As I struggle along in facebook and twitter, I despair of ways to add 5 new friends a day, and find 5 people to follow. The simple question is this; HOW?

How do I find the search Twitter other than clicking on your link there?

Hi Mary Anne!

Don't despair! Your struggles are soon to be completely over! ;-)

I completely agree with Ann on Facebook. That IS the way to find people with similar interests.

For Twitter...I'll let you in on a Twitter secret (it's not really a secret) I use, it's called Search Twitter.

On this page, you can type in a phrase that you find interesting...let's say...Paris Hilton.

You hit the search button...and...BAM!

A list of people who were recently Tweeting about that Paris Hilton. Click on their picture and then follow them! You've got something in common with them!

And watch them follow you back!

Hope that helps you on your search...and if you haven't added me yet, I'm TimothyCarter.

With warm regards,

I have been slowly but surely adding more friends to my facebook. Each time someone new excepts my invitation, I click on their friends to see if there is anyone on there I know.

Mary Anne, surely don't despair. Have fun and embrace the challenge of it. I encourage those who are believers to pray that the Lord directs the right people to their path and delivers them from the wrong people. I have heard Doug say a couple years ago that the Holy Spirit can do more in one breath than you and I can do in a lifetime. With that said, He will bless the work of our hands. I have added about 900 friends on Facebook the past 3-4 months simply sending requests to folks that have common interests or people I would like to connect with. Have an awesome weekend.

wow Jack that is amazing! The Lord DOES bless the work of our hands.
A question: Now that you have all those folks what are you doing with them? Just letting them get info from your site, leaving comments and waiting for the right timing? That's pretty much all I'm doing right now.
Blessings!

I've managed most on my own got the websites, word of mouth going. Now I'm at a stand still, Does anyone know a cheap way to get tons of traffic to my websites. I've become affilate to certain spiral sites in order to get my adds on rotation so I get mabye 100 clicks a day but I need so much more. Any advice from anyone I will take with much thanks.

Don't know about being a poet so much, but I do like to write! Yeh, I am slowly adding friends and following new people, although not at the rate of 5 a day. I guess I will just keep eating the 5 fruits and veggies a day and add friends along the way.!

Hello; I think we are all in the same boat. I find it hard to keep updating my blogs and sending out notices to my contacts about what I just wrote. I did find a site that actually updates everything at once and it's called ping.fm. I really like it.

Tera-

Depending on your geek quotient, you may need to learn some basic SEO tips. I personally stay away from the "viral traffic" sites b/c they are meaningless clicks. Everyone is clicking to get click credits. For most network marketers those kinds of exchanges are worthless. I used them for 2 years with very little real results.

On my blog is a link to 2 things that may help: The Black book on Social Marketing (*free) and a link to social power linking. Very reputable, if a bit geeky.

Hi Mary Anne,
I noticed on your page that you were struggling and trying to figure this new venue out! Welcome to the "club"! This is all new to me also, but I am going to hang in there until I get it! Keep me posted as to how you are doing! We may go in "baby-steps", but that is better than no steps at all! :)
