Social Media Training Network for Home Business

Lead. Succeed. Dominate in the Social Media Zone- Network Marketing 4.4

As I struggle along in facebook and twitter, I despair of ways to add 5 new friends a day, and find 5 people to follow. The simple question is this; HOW?

Mary Anne,

Find new friends on FaceBook is really simple. Find a group that interests you, I joined ones dealing with network marketing and home business. Then look at the members and read the brief profile to find others you would like to meet.

On Twitter it works the same way. Find people who are talking about things that interest you and click the follow button under their picture.

Always check out the friends and followers you have to see who they are friends with.

I hope this helps, if not let me know and I'll see what else I can do.

Hi Mary Anne!

Don't despair! Your struggles are soon to be completely over! ;-)

I completely agree with Ann on Facebook. That IS the way to find people with similar interests.

For Twitter...I'll let you in on a Twitter secret (it's not really a secret) I use, it's called Search Twitter.

On this page, you can type in a phrase that you find interesting...let's say...Paris Hilton.

You hit the search button...and...BAM!

A list of people who were recently Tweeting about that Paris Hilton. Click on their picture and then follow them! You've got something in common with them!

And watch them follow you back!

Hope that helps you on your search...and if you haven't added me yet, I'm TimothyCarter.

I feel the same way. Am an RN so this is like a foreign language to me...medical terms anyone! I am slowly working through just inviting people to be friends and today have figured out how to communicate with them on this site. I register w/ facebook and Twitter but haven't a clue at this time. Hope I can figure this out eventually! Thanks for asking this question. Maybe I can get a clue!!

Adding friends is easy - starting a discussion with them isn't. Sometimes it doesn't happen immediately - but sometimes out of nowhere things will take off because of some comment.

I look at it much in the same way as going to a party where I don't know many, or anyone. I listen to conversations; start conversations and see where it goes.

And, finding people with like interests doesn't just mean business. Some of my interests are parenting; cooking; traveling; movies; books, etc so I look for people who I can get to know and engage in conversations about things OTHER than business.

If there is a fit, the conversations will lead to business at some point.

Hope that helps!

EXPECT Success!

Mary Anne, surely don't despair. Have fun and embrace the challenge of it. I encourage those who are believers to pray that the Lord directs the right people to their path and delivers them from the wrong people. I have heard Doug say a couple years ago that the Holy Spirit can do more in one breath than you and I can do in a lifetime. With that said, He will bless the work of our hands. I have added about 900 friends on Facebook the past 3-4 months simply sending requests to folks that have common interests or people I would like to connect with. Have an awesome weekend.

Mary Anne, don't worry, you will do just fine. Every new "adventure" has a learning curve, and there are lots of wonderful people on this site who would be pleased to help you. The fact that you are willing to try something new and out of your comfort zone proves what a positive person you are; and asking for help indicates that you're not afraid to put yourself out there. Be proud of what you've accomplished just by joining this group and posting....I'm proud of you! And I'd be happy to be considered your friend.

Best,
Diane
