Social Media Training Network for Home Business

Lead. Succeed. Dominate in the Social Media Zone- Network Marketing 4.4

I am fairly new to Web 2.0. Just got my Twitter! :-)
I have had a facebook for a few years now. I know there is great networking potential with the contacts I have.
My question is this: How do I introduce/tap into my friend's friends without offending or looking like spam?
Thanks in advance!

Well Sarah, that is a really good question. You certainly wouldn't want to offend your friend's friend.

You have one of two options. Ask your friend to introduce you. Or what I will usually do, is I'll send a friend request to the person I'm interested in meeting with a personal comment along the lines of something like, "Hey Sarah, I notice that you're friends with my friend Doug. Anyone who's a friend of Doug's is a friend of mine. Would you like to be friends?"

Something that breaks the ice with that person (which IS your connection of another person) often is a great start to a new networking friend.

You know what's kinda cool about Facebook Sarah Beth?

(BTW...that's my daughters name...LOVE IT)

Facebook is so VIRAL that a lot of the work is done for you.

When someone views a profile they are seeing all the activity, wall posts etc that the person has.

So if you are out and about posting it is inevitable that your friends friends will notice.

Plus on the news feed if you comment on someone's note or video all their friends will see it

And in turn see YOU.

I just love Facebook because of this and once you get going the friends find you believe it or not.

I haven't added one myself in ages and I have 4600!!!!

They all send the invites to me.

Just get the ball rolling and the rest will happen.

Have fun!!!

Diane
