Hi Leon,

Fear can be a pwerful weapon that the enemy uses if we allow him to use it against us.

Greater is He that is in me that he that is in the world.

Faith is the victory that overcomes anything and more importantly the source of our faith

Leon thanks for the lost and have a great day

Definitely Fear has been the greatest thing holding me back....I think that through the personal development, getting out of my comfort zone, and learning God's word, I have discovered that his plans are so great for me that I hold myself back with the words IN MY HEAD that try to grasp if I am ready to recieve this greatness. I have had to put alot of my past behind me....it's amazing how you mentioned that years, months, days, hours, ect. go by before you realize it. Otherwise, I am having more fun now than ever experiencing the NEW that God has for me. It is absolutely amazing to see God work in my life and in the lives of others! Thanks Bishop for all of your encouragement and prayers! We can't get so stuck on the "HOW" we are going to get there!

Hello Bishop Benjamin!!

Faith vs. Fear. They CANNOT share the same space inside your heart or your head. One of them must leave for the other one to stay and dominate. We have to DECIDE it is faith that stays and fear that diminishes and leaves.

That decision alone starts the process of fear draining away.

Blessings,

Hey Leon,
You are absolutely right, it is nothing but fear, fear held me back a lot of years, but it's a thing of
the past now. God didn't give us the spirit of fear, but of love, and of power, and a sound mind.

Brother Leon...

Great subject!

Fear is a HUGE hurdle for the majority of people who start their own business. From fear of failure, to fear of success and everything in between. Fear of rejection, fear of making phone calls, fear of sounding stupid, etc...

Everyone struggles with those fears...

I remember in my early days of network marketing, I had a serious problem with picking up the phone and calling leads and following up with prospects. How did I get over it?

I got tired of making excuses as to why, why, why I couldn't do something or what someone would say...I got out of my comfort zone and took ACTION! On a daily basis made a few calls a day, and those few calls a day grew into a dozen, then dozens of calls a day.

Fear no longer held me in a paralyzed state of inaction! Faith comes from taking action in your belief!

Stretch beyond those fears...get out of the comfort zone and watch those fears fade away to a memory!

Hi, Mr. Benjamin, Nice discussion.
I just joined Doug Firebaugh's site an hour ago and was going through stuff and found you and what you wrote about.
I've been a Christian for 12 years and I have ministered to everyone from abused girls, to widows, to handicapped people. Just everyone that God has placed in front of me and I'm not an ordained minister nor ever plan to be.
I've had many people ask me why do I believe what I do and why do I have so much compassion for the hurting? I tell them this simple thing-"How can I not believe what I believe after seeing what God has done in my life these past 12 years and how can I not have compassion for those that have no hope after what I've lived through?"
I hope to add more thought to this when I've got more time but I'm running late so take care and God Bless-Darla

We were talking the other day about what we would actually be like if we truly BELIEVED everything that God said. We believe it. But, when we BELIEVE it fully with every nanopart of our being, our lives will drastically change.
There would be no room for fear, for we would be so full of God's love. There'd be no hesitation to get started, no doubts. When I absolutely know that God is behind something, it doesn't take me but a minute to do something - even if it's out of my comfort zone. It's when I forget that He is behind it, or I'm focused on doing the work in my strength rather than His, when I don't "wait" on Him and do it my way, that's when I let the wrong thoughts in because I'm in charge. Then, I'm not sure "how", and the fear does come in - until I catch it. I'm learning to "catch it" more frequently now because I know God did not give me a spirit of fear but one of love, power, and sound mind. It's a choice I have to make every day and every minute in the day. Who's going to be the ruler of my mind and my actions? I choose God.
